Q. Who is Mr. Smarty Plants?

A: There are those who suspect Wildflower Center volunteers are the culpable and capable culprits. Yet, others think staff members play some, albeit small, role. You can torture us with your plant questions, but we will never reveal the Green Guru's secret identity.

Title: Source for Brazoria Hawthorne
Answered by: Barbara Medford

QUESTION:

I want to buy several Brazoria Hawthorn to plant in my yard and need a source, can you help?

ANSWER:

Go to our Native Plant Suppliers section, put your town and state in the Enter Search Location and you will get the names, websites, telephone numbers, etc. of native seed suppliers, nurseries and landscape consultants in your general area. If possible, it would be preferable to wait until cooler weather to plant your hawthorns.
