Q. Who is Mr. Smarty Plants?

A: There are those who suspect Wildflower Center volunteers are the culpable and capable culprits. Yet, others think staff members play some, albeit small, role. You can torture us with your plant questions, but we will never reveal the Green Guru's secret identity.

Title: Suggestions for deer-resistant plans
Answered by: Nan Hampton

QUESTION:

I live in Horseshoe Bay and there are deer everywhere. They seem to eat everything I plant. Is there anything they don't like?

ANSWER:

You can read an excellent article, Camouflage Gardening, by Patti Simons on deer-resistant plants on the Native Plant Society of Texas web site. The article offers useful hints for protecting your plants as well as a list of deer-resistant plants.
