A low, round, open plant with green, forking, angular stems and scattered flowers like pale lavender stars at branch ends.
This plant is so open that it hardly casts a shadow. The stems and small leaves present little surface area to the sun and hot dry air, an adaptation to desert conditions that conserves precious water.
