This perennial may reach 6 ft., but 1 1/2 - 3 ft. is usual in drier locations. Showy, pink, rose-purple or nearly white flowers are borne from upper leaf axils forming an erect, terminal raceme. Large leaves are broadly heart-shaped with triangular lobes.
