Belong to Wildflower Center Associate ProgramDescription: Many conifer species. Primarily for reforestation projects, though open to public. The 261-acre Phipps Nursery initially produced 2.5 million seedlings a year, and now produces between 6 and 12 million seedlings annually. Phipps Nursery grows mostly Douglas- fir seedlings, but pine, cedar, spruce, hemlock, true fir, and other conifers, and hardwood seedlings like alder, ash, and maple are also grown. Most seedlings are grown for two years (growing seasons).
